You want to know about the end-game? You want to know what happens to God’s enemies just before the kingdom begins? The Lord taught the disciples to pray “They kingdom come,” but immediately before that is Zechariah. If Zechariah talks about it, we need to know what he says. It is hard to imagine the handover to a universal king with his headquarters in Jerusalem, and all nations assigning allegiance, even sending ambassadors yearly to express their honor to the king. That is not going to happen without a struggle.
The first matter on the agenda is “The Controvercy of Zion.” Resolve this and all others will melt away. This is what Zechariah is about. Jerusalem has always been known as “The City of Peace.”
